Both coffee and milk tea are very popular in Hong Kong but there is sweet, creamy drink that is hugely popular and can be found everywhere.

Ying Yang 鴛鴦 (a.k.a. “Yuenyeung” in Cantonese) is a popular beverage in Hong Kong that is made from a 50:50 mix of coffee and Hong Kong-style milk tea.  This unique pairing usually is made from a strongly brewed Bolivian or Colombian coffee mixed with a steeped tea made from loose leaves.

Evaporated milk and sugar is then added to the Ying Yang mixture and can be served hot or cold.
