Both coffee and milk tea are very popular in Hong Kong but there is a sweet, creamy drink that is hugely popular and can be found everywhere.

Ying Yang 鴛鴦 (a.k.a. “Yuenyeung” in Cantonese) is a popular beverage in Hong Kong that is made from a 50:50 mix of coffee and Hong Kong-style milk tea.  This unique pairing usually is made from a strongly brewed Bolivian or Colombian coffee mixed with a steeped tea made from loose leaves.

Evaporated milk and sugar is then added to the Ying Yang mixture and can be served hot or cold.
